The very lovely Ashley welcomed me to her hillside garden up in the Blue Mountains, this being the short season of agapanthus, and as not a one of these fair lilies is able to survive the heat of Kingston, it’s up to the hills one must go to be in their midst. When I lived in Mandeville there were thousands of these long-stemmed blue flowers in my garden, and every Springtime they rioted! Dozens of white ones thrived too, once I gave them their own bed away from their blue brothers, growing tall and proud. I love these plants, and want to do them justice.
